Eli Camp, ND

As a founder and owner of Medicine Talk and Medicine Talk Professional, Dr. Camp is involved in most aspects of the company. She is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the state of New Hampshire and has practices based in New Hampshire, Oklahoma and Florida. Her specialty is the use of homeopathic medicine but she also incorporates diet, lifestyle, herbal, environmental and mind-body medicine into her healing practices. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Camp’s passion is spreading awareness of the incredible benefits of Naturopathic Medicine – whether by lobbying for better legislation, public speaking, writing books or through teaching seminars at Medicine Talk. She serves as a mentor for students from various fields of health and strives to integrate the principles of Naturopathic Medicine into her own life.

Holley Nash, BS Human Nutrition

In addition to being an owner of and a Program Director for Medicine Talk, Holley has a great passion for food, nutrition and natural medicine. She has completed her BS in Human Nutrition through Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC and will be completing her required internship in order to sit for her RD license over the next year. In addition, she has completed 3 years of classical Homeopathic Medicine training, and has years of experience as a chef, chef instructor and herbalist. Because of her belief in Naturopathic principles, she recently partnered with Dr. Eli Camp and Medicine Talk and is looking forward to spreading the field of Naturopathic Medicine to the public. Holley is a passionate and dedicated advocate, helping people along their journey to optimal health through education, proper nutrition, homeopathy and plant medicine.

Jennifer Southard, ND

After graduating from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology, Dr. Southard went on to earn her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Today, she utilizes homeopathy, individualized holistic nutrition and orthomolecular supplementation, botanicals, hydrotherapy, herbal tonics, condition specific meditation techniques, and lifestyle counseling as gentle, safe, and effective therapies to assist the healing process for children and women alike. In addition to being an owner and Program Director for Medicine Talk, Dr. Southard is co-founder and CFO of a successful consulting practice in Indialantic, Fl. She also sits as a board member for the Florida Naturopathic Physicians Association. She believes it’s everyone’s born right to have access to health and wellness and makes it her life’s mission to spread this information.

Ashley Whittemore, ND

Dr. Ashley Whittemore, is an Arizona licensed Naturopathic Physician. Born and raised in Southeast Louisiana, she attended Louisiana State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a minor in Business Administration. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, where she was trained as a general practitioner. Dr. Whittemore has a passion for empowering people to take control of their health and educating them on how to do so. She also has a passion for advocating for the awareness and advancement of naturopathic medicine. Dr. Whittemore is in private practice at Cornerstone Health Center where she works with people with a variety of conditions. Dr. Whittemore is currently working with Naturopathic Doctors in Louisiana to establish a Louisiana Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Dr. Kate Firisin, ND, MSPT

Dr. Kate Firisin is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and Physical Therapist in Gilbert, AZ. Her private practice emphasizes primary care, detoxification, food allergies, adrenal fatigue and thyroid and hormone dysfunction, cardiovascular conditions and hypertension, diabetes and chronic disease. A native of Connecticut, Dr. Firisin received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Springfield College in Massachusetts in 1999. After 10 years in patient care, she returned to school and received her medical degree at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2012. She was selected to deliver the graduation address and received the Outstanding Leadership Award for her many volunteer and leadership roles throughout her medical education. She is passionate about cooking and discovering new ways to create healthful recipes.

Kelly Hassberger, ND

Dr. Kelly Hassberger, ND is the current owner of Grand Rapids Natural Health, an all-inclusive health and wellness center in Grand Rapids, MI. Dr. Hassberger is also the founder of InspiredLifeGR, a two-day health and wellness conference in Grand Rapids and the co-owner of Degree 18 Juice Bar in Palmer, Puerto Rico, where she lives part-time. Kelly graduated with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, with highest honors, from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in July of 2011. She then went on to complete a 1-year general medicine residency in Naturopathic Medicine at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine Medical Center. Kelly is the past president of the Michigan Association of Naturopathic Physicians (MANP) and continues to work diligently with this association to achieve licensure for Naturopathic Physicians in Michigan. She is also a contributor to Medicine Talk, LLC. Kelly’s passion is to educate the masses on Naturopathic Medicine and to inspire each individual she encounters to better their health on all levels, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Michael A. Ciolfi, HBPE, BSc, DC, MBA, DBA

As a Director for Medicine Talk, Dr. Michael Ciolfi runs the Chiropractic Doctor Division bringing business tools and resources to practitioners. Dr. Ciolfi graduated from chiropractic school in December 1990. He holds undergraduate degrees in physical and health education (HBPE – 1985) and nutrition (BSc – 1990). He actively practiced in both Canada and the United States from 1991-2005. Since May 2005, Dr. Ciolfi has held the following positions at chiropractic schools: Clinic Director, Department Chair and Director of Education (current position). Michael completed a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2010 and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree in 2014. From 1991 to 2003, Dr. Ciolfi served as a Light Infantry Army Reserve officer, graduating from Military Command and Staff College in 2002. Dr. Ciolfi’s mission is to enable patient centered care objectives for doctors and patients in order to achieve sustainable health care goals.

Karen is our senior writer and contributing editor for the Medicine Talk Pro newsletter service. She is passionate about bringing our readers information and resources that support a healthy lifestyle. Karen brings professional experience in communications, exercise science, health psychology, and research to her role at MTP. Her articles and interviews have appeared in peer-reviewed publications as well as popular digital and print media. Karen has interviewed many visionary physicians including Mark Hyman, Andrew Weil, Joan Borysenko, Wayne Dyer and Dean Ornish. Patricia Sheehy, MALS

Our editor, Patricia Sheehy, is an award-winning essayist with a background in freelance writing, marketing and public relations. She holds a B.S. in Written Communications and a Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Wesleyan University. For more than twenty-five years, she has been a self-employed Working Writer, providing copywriting and communications support to corporate, non-profit and small business entities; projects range from annual reports, newsletters, brochures, and speeches to video scripts and website content. She has served on the editorial board of an international magazine and written extensively for local and national publications. In addition, she facilitates workshops, coaches emerging writers, and has authored four books, including two Amazon bestselling novels.

Sari Cohen, ND

Sari Cohen, ND, one of the members of our Medical Review team, obtained her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine where she graduated with high honors. Her undergraduate degree was in Hebrew and Judaic Studies at Dartmouth College. Sari provides naturopathic care at the UPMC Center for Integrative Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA to people of all ages with both acute and chronic diseases. The naturopathic modalities that Dr. Cohen focuses on include nutrition, herbalism, nutritional supplementation, and homeopathy. She is an adjunct professor in the Integrative Health Studies at Chatham University and also has been doing research and technical writing for several different supplement companies over the past decade. Additionally, Dr. Cohen is the author of the prize-winning article “Melatonin, Menstruation and the Moon” published in The Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients. She is the secretary for her professional state association, the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Maja Laktic

Maja is Medicine Talk’s PR and Marketing Director. Her vast experience in various digital marketing agencies from an Executive Assistant to a Marketing Manager has equipped her with the right knowledge and skills to efficiently manage our social media and marketing campaigns, together with other services that we offer. She is commited to constant development in all aspects of her life, as she knows that a well-balanced lifestyle is directly linked to optimal health. In fact, she is now working on her degree in PR and Media, all while she keeps herself joyous and well-informed as she travels the world one small step at a time.

Grace Subang

As Marketing Assistant, Grace is responsible for providing assistance in Medicine Talk’s customer care, marketing campaigns, and other technical aspects. She is now taking her last units for her degree in Development Communication and has a particular interest in computer-mediated communication. In fact she has worked as an online freelance writer, among many other occupations, for 6 years now. She believes that being happy and content are at the core of being healthy and feeling great about one’s self, and hopes that she could be a source of joy for others through collaborative problem solving and effective communication.
